Be ready to embark on the journey to self-reliance
Following the ambitious transformation of USAID support to countries, and the implementation of the new acquisition and assistance strategy, new local partners will be applying for and awarded with USAID funding. Capacity building on operational and financial management is critical to a successful journey to self-reliance.
For these new recipients, we can support proposal development, contract negotiations, and setting up systems that follow the rules and regulations of to gain and maintain funding with the ultimate goal of making a bigger impact in the field of global health. From the donor perspective, MIRO can support in pre-award surveys of the recipient, compliance adherence and mentoring the new recipient to enable optimal performance while ensuring accountability and risk distribution, protecting the US Government’s interests.

MIRO offers a unique combination of complementary up-to-date expertise on the entire project award cycle including compliance support, risk- and financial management and indirect cost recovery related to US Government funding.
Having extensive experience over the past two decades in successfully managing four flagship USAID-funded tuberculosis projects in close collaboration with the Global Fund (TBCTA, TB CAP, TB CARE I, and Challenge TB) and for a total amount of > 800 M US$, MIRO offers a unique combination of complementary up-to-date expertise on the entire project award cycle including compliance support, risk- and financial management and indirect cost recovery related to US Government funding.Mischa Heeger
Mischa holds an MSc in Sociology, specialized in Organizations and Management. She has over 20 years’ experience in international public health, of which 15 years in the management of TB programs, funded by USAID.
Rosanne van Halm
Rosanne holds 15 years’ experience in international public health with BA degree in finance and a postgraduate degree in financial control. As a broadly skilled financial she has a a strong analytical background and 11 years’ experience in financial management of USAID-funded projects.
